Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.

As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.

The Real Estate & Facilities organization for one of the world's most recognized enterprise technology brands is seeking a developer to create solutions for Oracle's own employees. Real Estate & Facilities (RE&F) manages Oracle owned and leased properties around the world and provides many employee services. You would be part of the Real Estate Technologies team whose mission is to introduce and maintain Oracle technology that will enhance the experience of our internal customers and improve the efficiency of Real Estate & Facilities.

  • Work closely with stakeholders and colleagues to conceptualize solutions based on business and user requirements, best practices, standards, and Oracle guidelines

  • Research, explore and propose solutions utilizing the latest Oracle technologies

  • Work independently to evaluate, estimate, plan, and schedule the work necessary to deliver impactful solutions to our employees

  • Work closely with stakeholders on execution of each solution, providing complete and timely updates throughout the project lifecycle

  • Implement code in a manner that is documented, robust, efficient, and repeatable

  • Be responsible for ongoing maintenance, bug fixing, and improvement of your code

  • Perform peer reviews of data models and code

Recommended Skills:

  • 5 years experience working in a development capacity at a software company or other technology-oriented business.

  • Significant programming expertise, especially in the following areas: Object Oriented Programming, Java/J2EE, JSP, SQL/PLSQL, web services, JSON, AJAX, HTML/HTML5, CSS3 , JavaScript, JQuery, mobile development and deployment

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle principles, including both agile and waterfall methodologies

  • Experience in data analysis, data modeling and diagramming

  • Experience with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as JDeveloper, Eclipse, NetBeans or other

  • Proficiency in front-end design and development

  • Experience with design tools, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, and Wireframe/Adobe XD

  • Experience with application deployments on WebLogic Server

  • Solid background in quality assurance, with experience implementing best practices for code review, data model review, unit testing and load testing

  • Solid background in debugging, problem solving, and creating and documenting processes and procedures

  • Experience using source-control management software

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

  • Experience with any of the following would be an asset: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle Spatial & Graph, Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer, Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (Oracle JET), familiarity with geographical/location and real estate data, dimensional data modeling (star schemas, snowflake schemas), social media, chatbots, machine learning, artificial intelligence, Oracle Cloud (PaaS), and installing libraries and configuring JNDI data sources on WebLogic

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task, organize your own work and that of others, and to work to deadlines

  • Creative problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

  • Experience working with distributed team members
