Fire Service Technician (WD300613443)What you will doInstall and service fire alarm systems, intrusion, CCTV, and buildingaccess control and sound intercom systemsPerform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.Maintain and update schematics, drawings, and documentation files onequipment and notify engineering of those changes.Be proficient at servicing, maintaining and programming fire alarmsystems, security systems, nurse call, and intercom and CCTV systems.Computer knowledge with networking and programming helpful.Good customer interaction skills and the ability to think on your feet arerequired.Work overtime as required.Participation in On-Call Rotation after training period is required.QualificationsWhat we look forRequiredMust be able to solely and safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75pounds and be able to climb ladders and scaffoldingAn attention to detail and the ability to work independently is essential.Two years of Fire Alarm experienceKnowledge of fire alarms.Computer literate-Windows ApplicationsValid Driver's LicenseNICET Level II or Denver Fire Alarm License PreferredKnowledge of fire alarm systems is mandatory, both conventional andaddressable.Must have working knowledge of at least 2 major brands of fire controlpanels, factory training a plus. Experience may be obtained by progressingthrough internal service or ops positions or with companies where similarexperience is acquired.Must be computer literate with Windows.Knowledge of test equipment to include multi-meters, digital analyzers,battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communicationdevices preferred.A valid driver's license with good driving record; and the ability toobtain appropriate licenses required by national, state and local codes,and the ability to pass drug screen and employment background check required.Five (5) years experience in interior and exterior wiring and the repairof electrical equipment and appliances.Ability to communicate with various company personnel and co-workers inregards to work orders.Must pass pre-screening processes (background, drug, reference screening)Candidates responding to this posting must currently possess the eligibilityto work in the United States.Must Have a High School Diploma or GEDExcellent Industrial Electrical Problem Solving and Troubleshooting SkillsActive listening, team-building, communication, planning skills.
