Leidos INFOSEC/COMSEC Specialist in AURORA, Colorado


The National Solutions Group at Leidos currently has anticipated openings for Infosec/COMSEC Specialist - (Day staff) to support a client’s requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Aurora, Colorado area. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and is contingent upon program award.

The Infosec/COMSEC Specialist implements customer Information Security and Communications Security (COMSEC) policies and operating procedures to ensure the safety of mission systems and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access that may cause damage or destruction. The Infosec/COMSEC Specialist will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Implements customer Information Security and Communications Security (COMSEC) policies and operating procedures.

•Performs system continuous security monitoring and scanning.

•Ensures accreditations are conducted in a timely manner, including IAVA updates.

•Identifies system vulnerability, non-compliance with established standards and recommends mitigation strategies.

•Protects the organization's information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording and destruction.

•Manages and enforces security strategies and policies within established guidelines.


Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below

•BS degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

•CISSP-ISSMP; CISM certifications

•TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

•Solid knowledge of information security and COMSEC principles and practices.

•Experience with mission systems

•Understanding of security process such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

•Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
