Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer on our APEX program in Aurora, Colorado.

In this role, you will work with an amazing team of software engineers that is leading the industry in space-enabled information, Command, and Control systems solutions.
This position can be located in Aurora, Colorado. Relocation assistance is authorized for this position.
What You'll Get to Do:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain the ground-based mission planning and command and control software to accommodate the next-generation satellite capabilities, and implementation of new ground terminals. Our complex domain requires innovative solutions to meet evolving customer needs. On Apex program, you will work with teams of talented engineers to develop and improve advanced algorithms that handle large data sets with complex constraints.
Apex software engineers will be responsible for full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance. In addition you will work with other software disciplines, as well as be expose to various technologies including multi-tiered architectures, Camel, Spring, OSGi, and geospatial visualization tools. APEX is in the midst of transforming older software development practices into more modern development practices utilizing an Agile/DevOps approach - experience in this area is a plus. We provide robust and easy-to-use tools for reporting status and estimates to your agile team leadership - meaning more time for true problem solving. Our small development teams adapt to evolving problem sets, and engineers benefit from a flexible work environment where engineers can migrate between teams to contribute to new domains.
As Senior S oftware Engineer , you will also be responsible:
Develop code in compliance with requirements and defined architecture
Support change request (CR) work-off
Support Test Engineering for integration and test activities and events
Participate in Change Request Review Board (CRRB), as needed
Occasionally, provide support to operations (remotely), and cost estimation efforts for ECPs, and proposals.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen with an current/active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other relevant technical discipline.
Minimum 2 years of SW development experience
Experience using Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object Oriented Design (OOD) techniques
Experience programming in Java
Familiarity with Unix, Linux, and or Windows Operating Systems (Linux preferred)
Ability to work in a small team environment, high paced, with flexibility in job role
It Would Be Great if You Also Had:
Experience with Angular.js
Experience with Spring and Camel Frameworks
Experience with XML, XSD, and JMS
Familiarity with Clearcase/ClearQuest, Git, and Gradle
C++ programming experience
Experience and/or knowledge with Agile, DevOps and Continuous Integration process (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, etc.)
Experience and/or knowledge of satellite ground systems
Experience and knowledge related to one or more specific technologies:
Satellite ground systems
Mission Management systems
Planning and Scheduling
Command and Telemetry
Flight Dynamics models
Familiarity with DoDAF
Experience with Eclipse IDE
Experience with Jenkins automation server management
Experience with Cucumber BDD/Junit/TestNG
Experience with cloud computing and virtualization software and services
Experience with VMware virtual infrastructures
Experience with scripting (JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Python, PHP, bash, tch, csh, perl, sh, etc.)
Experience and/or knowledge with Web Service design and development
Experience and/or knowledge with Security related software development
Experience with Automated testing tools (Cucumber, Gherkin)
Experience with Atlassian management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Engineering experience on a government software development contract
Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
Experience in architecture design/development of SW centric system
Experience with Software process lifecycle (concept of operations, requirements analysis, system design/architecture, development, integration and test, delivery, and system maintenance)

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $70,000 to $97,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
