Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Contract Administrator to support its Payload and Ground Systems team. This position will be located in Aurora, CO.

In this role, the selected candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating, administrating, proposing, and negotiating, standard and non-standard contracts and agreements supporting various US Government customers and requirements.

  • Proposal preparation - examining proposal requirements and estimates, supporting the preparation of bids, analysis of terms and conditions to evaluate risk, accuracy, and completeness to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

  • Contract administration - process contractual documentation and reports, key advisor to management of contractual rights and obligations, compile and analyze data, coordinate SDRL/CDRL deliverables, and perform maintenance of historical information.

  • Support the proper shipment, billing, and payment collection for contractual material, software, and data deliverables.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports and maintenance of contractual databases.

  • Daily interaction with internal and external customers.

  • Duties may also include the preparation of proprietary information agreements, teaming agreements, export licenses/agreements and various types of memoranda as well as interface with internal functional and program organizations, effectively deal with external customers and meet the goals/objectives of the Payload and Grounds Systems team.

  • Have a fundamental knowledge of the FAR and DFARs, general knowledge of pre and post-award federal government contracting industry practices, techniques, and standards.

  • Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex contracts administration tasks, to include proposal preparation, the development of change orders and processing of inter-company work orders.

  • Have the ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under only very general supervision.

  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.

  • Demonstrated experience with highly effective verbal and written communications and presentation communication.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years relevant experience in U.S. Government contract administration and management - OR - a Master's Degree and 7 years relevant experience in U.S. Government contract administration and management - OR - 13 years relevant experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with various contract types including cost reimbursable, cost plus, fixed price, time and materials required.

  • Experience with various types of agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements required.

  • Proven ability to effectively work with the management of other organizations (program management, subcontracts, business management, and supply chain management) as well as representatives of Government agencies.

  • Senior level knowledge in understanding and interpreting the FAR/DFARs and other U.S. Federal Government contract regulations along with experience in commercial contracting.

  • Experience in preparing and presenting briefings to senior level internal & external customers.

  • Current DOD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Intelligence Community (IC).

  • Strong proposal development skills and senior level negotiation skills.

  • Excellent decision making skills that support resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk to the Corporation.

  • Strong attention to detail essential.

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible and change directions when needed.

  • Current TS/SCI

Salary Minimum: $98,952

Salary Maximum: $148,428
