MTech Mechanical HVAC Service Technician (Avon, CO) in Avon, Colorado

Job SummaryOperates diagnoses, maintains and repairs HVAC/R systems and equipment, Services commercial/industrial clients. Also providestechnical education for team members as needed.Essential Job FunctionMaintain clear and professional communication with clients, ProjectManagers, APM's, Service Dept., and other team members.Conducts one's self in a professional manner with verbal communication,personal appearance, and detailed writing skills Make decisions and renderjudgment, commit to decisions and be accountable for one's actionsPerforms start up and commissioning requirements for commercial HVAC systemsCompletes service and warranty request calls for projects.Participates in Service Department meetings, processes, on callrotation, and other company policies.Responsible for internal and external client satisfaction with allclients/projects assigned; Interprets drawings and schematics and installsHVAC/R components; Test HVAC/R equipment for proper operationVerifies equipment registrations per local, state and federal codesUses drawings and schematics to analyze and isolate malfunctionsMust be familiar with State, Federal and Local codes and hold journeymanlicenses for Denver and/or other local municipalitiesEnsures compliance with environmental regulations of fuels, refrigerants andother hazardous materialsRepairs or replaces componentsComplete all required documentation (electronic/paper) including but notlimited to start up reports, Cx reports, warranty claim requests,administrative requirements, daily service reports, and other job specificdocuments.Maintains shop tools and equipmentProvides technical education for team members as neededAbility to operate a company vehicle in accordance with the MTech policy andprocedures manualAct as a liaison between the client and MTech Mechanical Technologies Group.Help establish goals for the week with dispatch.Promote time management skills to team techs.Promote 100% billable time.Develop team/client relationships.Quality inspection.Safety inspection.Manage preventative maintenance accounts to fit within budget.Responsible for accuracy and completeness of team's paperwork/MSI andcoordinate corrections as necessary. Back up timecard checks on as neededbasisAssist with contract renewals.Assist with T and M repair proposals.Support teams with technical assistance / advice in the field that willresult in quality service, client satisfaction and profit.All paperwork must be done in the field at the job site.Keep client informed as to progress in resolving problem situations. See thatclients are satisfied and generate more work.Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy.Be proactive in helping generate policy and procedure.Coordinate with other operations groups to complete service projects involvingthem.Take responsibility for own learning and continuing education so that skill is"state of the art".Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet therequirements of this positionOther duties as assigned: On call rotation, assist with small projects,assist on an as needed basis with Monday morning meeting and paperwork,assist with in house technical training.Operates and diagnoses HVAC/R systems and equipment up to 100 tons coolingcapacity and 10 million BTU's heating capacityResponsible for client satisfaction with all clients/projects assigned;Interprets drawings and schematics and installs HVAC/R components; TestHVAC/R equipment for proper operationVerifies equipment registrations per local, state and federal codesMaintains and repairs HVAC/R equipment and systemsPlan and perform recurring maintenance and seasonal overhaul on systems andcomponentsUses drawings and schematics to analyze and isolate malfunctionsTroubleshoots systems using manufacturer's handbook, MTech procedures andlocal codesEnsures compliance with environmental regulations of fuels, refrigerants andother hazardous materialsRepairs or replaces componentsComplete all required paperwork
