Ensures that the Core Team understands and prioritizes what elements of the program significantly impact Operations particularly impact to cost, service, quality, and inventory. Identify, evaluate and communicate Operations related trade-offs to appropriate stakeholders.

A Day in the Life
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Operations for Patient Monitoring, you will propose Operations strategies and targets for the program. As the Core Team Operations representative, you will ensure that the strategies are in alignment with broad / global Manufacturing strategies (such as MOS/COS, Category Strategies, Contract Manufacturing and COE utilization).
Serve as Project Lead for the extended Operations team. Drive, plan and execute all Operations related activities in support of the program.
Communicate project status and information to Operations leaders and stakeholders.
Identify and communicate Operations and Program risks. Drive risk mitigation activity as necessary.
Complete all Operations PDP deliverables per BU Work Instructions.
Develop and update the Operations section of the Business Plan including the inputs from the Voice of Operations/Operations Quality. Ensure that key strategies (including inputs from VOO/VOOQ, targets along with risks are documented and updated in the Business Plan
Build and develop planning and execution tools in support of the program. Ensure that required infrastructure, capacity and resources are planned and established to support overall program goals.
Work with Ops functional mgrs. to ensure correct level and capability of engineers are on the team.
Ensure that Operations has input, and contributes, to Process technology selection and Process Development activity.
Champion and coordinate Operations support for the application of DRM, FTQ COS practices and tools.
Share best practices and key lessons (program or other) with other CTORs and across Operations Supply Chain functions as appropriate.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
Strong technical education and 10 years of experience in a technical environment (Science, Technology or Engineering Degree required. Masters in technical, business or project management disciplines preferred.)
Experience in multiple functional disciplines is desired:
Process Development Engineering
Manufacturing Supervision / Operations Management
Supply Chain / Purchasing / Planning / Technical Sourcing
Research and Development
Strong manufacturing and/or regulatory environment experience
Demonstrates success leading teams/and/or matrix organizations
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong business acumen and understanding of operations costing (LBM, OPC, inventory deferrals, etc.)
Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage complex projects
15+ years of Procurement, Sourcing, Engineering or/or Supply Chain Management
5 + years leadership experience managing a team direct or indirect
Excellent leadership, organization, project management, communication and negotiation skills
Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams
Capability to understand customer/business needs and translate into priorities
Project management and milestone management capabilities
Continuous improvement mindset
Business and Finance acumen
Comfortable in the matrix
Be successful in translating Operations language to Business language
