Demonstrated leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of several applications within a business area needed. BA/BS degree and relevant experience.

We are currently looking for a 2ndshift cloud engineering manager to provide support to the continuous and efficient running of Oracle s global SaaS platforms.__
Hands on 2nd shift technical manager who needs to manage a team supporting and/or implementing software project(s) and/or internal systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas or sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications.
Successful track record in applications implementation and as a manager. Expert knowledge of all applications within a business area; plus some knowledge of other applications. Minimum 10 years of technical experience in addition to 5 years technical support / Operations leadership experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience managing teams consisting of applications or systems engineers & application administrators.
Experience running large Java/python/ruby applications.
Exposure to system management monitoring and alerting tools (Nagios, Prometheus, PCP).
Extensive experience and knowledge of Linux, in particular RHEL and OEL.
Automation tool experience, such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or a programming language.
Solid and modern source control practices, including Git and merge request flows.
Good analytical skills for troubleshooting problems, especially from remote locations.
Ability to listen and communicate clearly with different areas of the business.
An understanding of production management process such as ITIL and Virtualization
Experience with Vmware ESX, KVM, or other Linux based solutions.
Experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server Operating System and Microsoft SQL Server.
Sound knowledge and experience of TCP/IP networking and experience with Linux based firewalls, routers and IPSEC VPN systems.
Exposure to Cisco switches and the IOS operating system.
System and Network security practices and disciplines need to be demonstrated.
Willingness to proactively engage in continuous process improvement.
Ability to communicate technical issues to business leaders as well as to communicate business drivers to engineers.
Experience in running or supporting business critical application environments in a large enterprise.
Demonstrated experience successfully leading in a 24/7/365 environment.
Proven analytical abilities and using data/facts for decision-making.
