Kforce Senior Systems Analyst in Castle Rock, Colorado

Kforce has a client in search of a Senior Systems Analyst in Castle Rock, CO.Summary:The IT Senior Systems Analyst acts as an expert member of the Land Solutions Team within IT Application Services. This role is responsible for the overall development, configuration, maintenance, administration and technical support of platforms, and related applications, to ensure system integration with business operations and application lifecycle management strategies. The position will serve as primary support of the County's Land Management Systems utilized by various departments and integrated with other enterprise systems.Essential duties and responsibilities: Key duties and responsibilities of this Senior IT Systems Analyst position include, but are not limited to, the items listed below:

  • Serves as an application owner of the client's Land Management systems for the lifecycle of these systems

  • Coordinates with the client's Land Solutions Manager and Land Solutions team on the integration of the client's enterprise systems

  • Provides support (e.g., configuration, installation, maintenance) for various enterprise-wide applications

  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for all processes and analyses required by client systems

  • Assists the IT Application Services team in the development of application lifecycle strategies, preventative maintenance/management, renewal and replacement, and financial planning approaches

  • Monitors and responds to incidents and requests related to client systems

  • Assists with enhancement requests made with the application vendors

  • Coordinate with the client's PMO on project efforts by identifying scope of effort, writing test cases for system improvements, and tracking project documentation as necessary

  • A working knowledge of systems integration, application security, business process and logical data modeling is required

  • Experience configuring and maintaining applications in a multiplatform environment (Windows Server and/or Unix/Linux environments and/or cloud platform)

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications for reasoning, reporting of system usage - monitoring and forecasting, and defining system specs

  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services

  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making

  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience

  • Systems Analysis, determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
