Description

NCS Pearson, Inc. seeks Software Engineer II – Globalization in Centennial, CO to do research, design and implement new solutions as well as maintain and enhance existing software for interactive learning platform; Understand business logic and code base for interactive learning platform; Actively participate in requirements, architecture, and design meetings; Follow DevOps practices, i.e. own software applications and code from development through deployment; Contribute to continuous integration pipeline deploying into Cloud / AWS; Use logical analysis and sound reasoning to troubleshoot challenging and complex technical problems; Resolve product issues in response to escalated support tickets; Work efficiently and collaboratively in an Agile / Scrum team environment.

Qualifications

Min. req. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or foreign equivalent together with 2 years of strong knowledge of Web technology stacks, capable at all tiers from the DB to SPA/Javascript/JSON; 2 years of strong knowledge of object-oriented design and development, and engineering best practice; 2 years of strong knowledge of Java programming language, JVMs and Java applications; 1 year of experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs for extensibility and portability; 1 year of experience in implementing SPA applications; 1 year of experience in large scaled applications or platforms supporting big customer base; 1 year of experience with cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation.
