Northrop Grumman Configuration Analyst 3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Configuration Analyst 3 to support the C2BMC program in Colorado Springs, CO. Northrop Grumman was selected by the U.S. Missile Defense Agency to participate on the Missile Defense National Team. This team was chartered to develop a Ballistic Missile Defense System for the United States. Missile Defense and Protective Systems (MDPS) serves as Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' focal point for all activities associated with missile defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), simulation & modeling, systems engineering, and target discrimination.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with the management of the Technical and Program baseline which involves collection, storage, controlled distribution and disposal of all technical and programmatic data generated by the Program or acquired from other organizations. This also includes managing technical and program document baseline, maintaining configuration control of all technical and program documents and data in the configuration management data base, administering the Program change control boards and implementing the formal release approval process for all controlled technical documents and data.
Reviews and verifies documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements.
Assists in the delivery of formal products including requesting approvals, requesting contract deliverable letters, coordinating with MDA for product hand off, and recording delivery dates.
Captures Data Management monthly delivery metrics.
Identifies tasks to be completed and follows up to ensure completion.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience or 4 years' experience with a Master's degree, or 10 years in lieu of a degree.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Products, (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Nuance PDF and IBM SharePoint.
Some experience with databases such as Oracle/SQL.
Attention to detail is key to being successful in this position.
Knowledge and experience with common Configuration and Data Management practices.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must be a team player and have the ability to handle multiple tasking with minimal supervision.
Must have an active Secret clearance.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Prior work on DoD contracts performing typical Configuration and Data Management tasks preferred.
