CTC/MTT Senior Military Operations Analyst (CoESMD-20-0509-W):

Bowhead seeks a CTC/MTT Senior Military Operations Analyst to support the CoE Space and Missile Defense contract in Colorado Springs, CO. The CTC/MTT Senior Military Operations Analyst will perform space SME duties in support of maneuver CTC field training and instruction, as well as MCTP events. Participate as instructor, field trainer, and technical expert in support of MTTs, providing Observer Controller / Trainer (OC/T)-like augmentation, as well as facilitate contested space environment generation at various training venues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remain current on space capabilities and conduct research on new threats to current Army space-enabled capabilities, update existing training materials as necessary, and develop new training materials after analyzing research results. Research shall include coordination with the School training divisions to ensure training materials updated or developed are current, accurate, and aligned with the School institutional training materials.

• Coordinate with FORSCOM G39, Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), and Electronic Warfare Combat Training Center Integration leads to ensure integrated support during maneuver Combat Training Center rotations. Coordinate and integrate with local Space or Electronic Warfare Cell to provide advisory and assistance in efficient implementation of Denied, Degraded, and Disrupted Space Operational Environment (D3SOE) effects generation, replication, or simulation.

• Provide support to local maneuver CTC resident Opposing Force to support emplacement in training areas of effects generating equipment.

• Conduct after action reviews (AAR), and report results for use in identification of trends for use in revision of training content.

• Provide new instruction and refresher training on EMI indicators, mitigation strategies, and reporting processes to the rotational training units during pre-event activities.

• Coordinate with rotational training unit staff personnel (S-2, S-6, S-3,and EW representatives) to review enemy order of battle, indications and warning of potential enemy activities related to EMI, and provide advisory assistance to plan for operations in a D3SOE replicating Divisional Space Support Element activities as needed.

• Support OPFOR Operational Environment integration efforts to ensure space equities and capabilities are accurately represented. Ensure space capabilities and D3SOE activities are developed and inserted into training events conducted at Divisional level and higher. Coordinate with MCTP points of contact to determine required space support to event execution. Provide pre-event overview of exercise, support required, and execution plan to the ASTD Chief, CTC Integration. Participate in MCTP warfighter exercise planning events to ensure all MCTP space domain requirements for event execution are properly identified. Utilize the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process, JTIMS, and JMSEL tool. Support development of exercise objectives in coordination with MCTP staff and rotational training unit. Coordinate with USASMDC G37 Training, Readiness, and Exercise (TREX) Division’s Exercise Branch and the G33 Operations Division for issuing of appropriate ops order tasking subordinate USASMDC organizations.

• Support five (5) Warfighter events annually with Exercise Control Group support and SME/ OC/T-like augmentation. Support Mission Command Training Academics associated with Warfighter exercises. Support Combined Command Post Training Events (e.g. Austere Challenge) with SME/ OC/T-like augmentation.

• Perform duties as a subject matter expert (SME) and Observer, Coach/Trainer (OC/T) in support of Home Station Training (HST) and Combat Training Center (CTC) rotations

• Support ASTD Operational Domain training line of effort. Perform Instructor/SME duties in classroom and field settings.

• Use GPS Interference and Navigation Tool (GIANT) to support training requirements.

• Operate Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) and other military GPS-enabled equipment.

• Train Soldiers on Electronic Warfare and space-enabled systems, including spectrum analyzer.

• Execute training development IAW customer’s OI to meet CoE accreditation standards

• Plan, lead and execute Mobile Training Team (MTT) responsibilities to locations world-wide.

• Prepare training documents and services required to support classroom or equipment training.

• Serve on and contribute to a variety of matrixed course development and project teams. Serve on and contribute to a variety of matrixed course development and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR eight (8) years of operational experience and instructor certification from a military/civilian

• Understanding of Space Fundamentals

• Experience at the Brigade Combat Team or higher echelon

• 2+ years Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare experience

• Demonstrated expertise in the field of US Army and Joint doctrine to support observations while performing duties of Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T)

• Certified Instructor from a military service or civilian institution

• Knowledge and experience with TRADOC instructor qualification and certification standards

• Knowledge and understanding of the ADDIE model

• Minimum of six (6) years of operational experience that is applicable to the curriculum

• Required to wear Army personal protective equipment and uniforms; operate tactical and non-tactical vehicles; and walk a minimum 200 yards wearing 35 pounds of tactical equipment and must be capable of independently lifting training equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must successfully complete the ASTD Instructor Verification Program within 60 days of commencement of this contract.

• TS Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• MCTP OC/T and/or staff experience at Division and above Warfighters

• MOSQ: 17E / 29E, or FA40

• CTC OC/T experience (National Training Center, Joint Readiness Training Center, Joint Multinational Readiness Center)

• Graduate of a military instructor training course (ITC/SGITC, FIFC, ABIC, AFBIC, etc.)

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
