Job Description
Point Solutions Group is supporting a next generation weapons system in all facets of its lifecycle. One of our current areas of need falls within software development and DevOps. We are looking to bring on a skilled resource to collaborate with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to manage software and/or system releases. This person will cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing and operations and keep existing networks in mind as they design, plan and test. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for multitasking and dealing with multiple urgent situations at the same time, while implementing multiple delivery pipelines for existing and future systems. Ideal candidates will be local to CO Springs and MUST HOLD AN ACTIVE TS SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Job Duties:
Uses Agile Continuous Development Process(es) to field the latest software baseline
Designs and builds automated deployments that simplify fielding, are repeatable, provide quality through automated testing, and support a safe rollback, if required
Automates deployment of Linux and Windows OSs, applications, system configurations and security settings
Provides direct support during deployment and general operations
Researches emerging technologies to improve automation of deployments and optimizing the CI/CD pipeline
Maintains a Government Software Repository
May provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs
May provide work leadership for lower level employees
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a STEM field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering capacity (DevOps experience highly preferred)
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Proven experience in Linux/Unix Administration, Windows Administration, virtualization, and MySQL
Familiarity with general DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins/Bamboo, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Experience with scripting and software development languages including C++, C#, Python, and/or Java
Experience with Agile Methodologies and Tools
Continuous Build/Injection experience
Preferred Experience:
Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and/or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) experience
Familiarity with Red Hat Ansible
Experience with Source Control, Continuous Integration, and Team Management tools
Experience with automated testing
Experience with Git, Jira, and/or Bitbucket
