Fiserv Manager Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Position Description

What does and exceptional Manager Software Engineering do?

We are a rapidly growing and highly capable product engineering team building applications that transform the way merchants run and manage their business. As a Software Developer Manager, you will play a critical role in leading a high-performing team of software engineers that support the Clover product. With Clover, these businesses can run thousands of transactions, access reports on a dashboard remotely and handle their inventory through a single solution. The Clover product replaces cash registers, terminals, receipt printers, label printers and barcode scanners.

In this role you will

  • Leads a team of software developers and provide day-to-day mentorship on development activities.

  • Builds and drive the software development planning, scheduling, and execution of development activities to meet business goals and objective

  • Drives all aspects of the Agile development process, from sprint planning to daily scrum meetings, sprint demos, and team retrospectives.

  • Implements an effective system of project governance and metric-based reporting.

  • Defines and implement development standard methodologies, including code reviews, unit tests, functional testing, and integration testing.

  • Promotes and drive innovation in technologies, processes, and tools.

  • Is current with industry development and test automation techniques, tools and standard methodologies.

  • Participates in design and architecture reviews.

  • ·Leads and promote ideas to maintain a continuous improvement culture within the development organization.

  • Access and communicate risks based on product complexity, resource and/or timeline constraints.

  • Maintains relationships with internal & external partners during the implementation process to ensure that any critical issues are promptly addressed.

  • Mentors technical staff during projects to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Responsible for the hiring, training, staff development, performance appraisals, corrective action and pay review of technical personnel.


Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience required.
