The Hardware Solutions Team is seeking a dedicated, passionate and self-motivated Software Administrator/Support Specialist. We are looking for a team member that has
a passion for problem solving and satisfying customers through the delivery of improvements to the global engineering ecosystem that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of product development efforts across the enterprise.

The position supports production CAD instances throughout the Collins Aerospace enterprise, primarily for locations in Colorado Springs, CO, Fairfield, CA, and Richardson, TX, to support primarily Siemens NX and Teamcenter applications. The position requires developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the current application portfolio and the technical needs of programs and functional end-users. This includes development of automation scripting and coding, as well as addressing end-user incidents and requests for assistance within agreed service level guidance in support of business and IT priorities.
The successful candidate will have many of the following skills/experience:
Provide end-user support of CAD software applications including, but not limited to NX, Multi-CAD Data Management in Teamcenter and Integrations with development and production environments.
Perform root cause analysis, debugging problems with the CAD environment and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
Monitor, address, and resolve production CAD environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, Style Sheets, GUI concept layouts in Teamcenter, NX model checkers, NX troubleshooting, data fix from corruption or user error, etc..
Help define, align and document best practices, methods, training guides, and standard company processes.
Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting CAD instances.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to continuously improve methods and practices, share new practices, and drive an error-free approach to product design and CAD modeling.
Working closely with Information Technology (IT) for maintenance of Siemens applications, including review of license usage, needs, and upgrades of all CAD applications to support all users.
Support System Integration and User Acceptance Testing as necessary. Develops and executes test plans in support of Teamcenter, and NX environments, the maintenance and upgrades.
Workflow testing for Teamcenter, Interoperability with NX, upgrade migration of data
Provide demos to users and prepare training material and arrange training sessions for business users.
Ensures that workflow programming requirements fulfill business objectives. Workflows that enable processing of data sets and configuration control, release of those data sets (Teamcenter / NX)
Develops improvements to tool strategy, tool deployment, communicates needs and requests received from end users.
Organizes and tracks the progress of systems by applying project management techniques. Identifies issues that will delay on-time delivery and assists in resolving them.
Work with other members of the Engineering group to streamline and customize our engineer’s PLM experience to make life easier for Engineers and Designers.
Prior experience with primary CAD tools (NX, SOLIDWORKS) and Siemens PDM/PLM tools is preferred.
Knowledge in the use and application of MBD/PMI for Hardware design, Visualization tools, CAE Validation and Verification tools and Translator tools among other tools is a plus.
Must also be willing and able to travel (domestic and international) (minimum 10% domestically)
Either possess, or be able to obtain, a security clearance.
Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
