Job Description: Current DoD 8570 IAT level II certification is required for this position (e.g. Security + CE or other DoD recognized higher lever certification). Candidates must be prepared to provide proof of current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification at the time of application. Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a "Senior Computer System Technologist I" to join our team in support of the U.S. Air Force's North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract (NISSC). The NISSC program provides accurate, timely, unambiguous warning and attack assessment of threats with daily visibility by National Command Authority Leaders. NCMC-ITW/AA is composed of air, missile, and space warning missions located at Cheyenne Mountain AFS (CMAFS), Peterson AFB, Vandenberg AFB, and other forward user and sensor sites worldwide. This position is located at CMAFS, Colorado Springs, Colorado in support of the 721st Communications Squadron (721CS). Qualified candidate must have the ability to provide real time technical support to the NORAD- USNORTHCOM (N-NC) Global Command and Control System (GCCS) customers and data providers. This candidate will direct system administration, situational analysis, impact assessment, and issue resolution in support of 24/7/365 mission operations. Must have the ability to interface with a broad range of customers and effectively communicate, facilitate, and execute operations-focused tasks on behalf of mission leadership. The individual must have the ability to perform all Windows (Windows 10/2012R2), Solaris 10 and Linux system administration. Experience with Windows multi-level Active Directory and Domain Name Service Administration. Experience with VMWare virtual solution administration. Experience with LAN/WAN network architecture, server hardware, system services, and functionality is required. Experience with securing, monitoring and auditing Windows, Solaris and Linux systems to prevent/detect malicious attacks or errors in the system. Must be able to work in a DoD mission-oriented environment centered on mission availability and quick response to customer reported issues while following all Air Force, DoD, and DISA policies and Instructions. Excellent communications skills are required to address/provide status to DoD (military and civilian) personnel, document problems, and communicate with Raytheon program representatives. All GCCS employees are considered Mission Essential. Applicants must have a Secret clearance. The person hired into this position must be prepared to report to work and remain on site for extended periods of time during real-world emergencies and occasionally during exercises and simulations. During such periods this employee will be unable to maintain contact with anyone outside the site, including family and friends. Must meet DoD 8570 certification requirements. Must have excellent technical and communications skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers at all levels. Must be able to work in a high visibility environment, focused on 24/7/365 mission availability, and quickly respond to customer direction/requests. Candidate will be one of the 24/7/365 on site system administrators responsible for maintaining the N-NC GCCS Systems. As a member of GCCS Operations, the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring system availability in support of the N-NC COP. System Administration duties include proactive/reactive system checks, real time troubleshooting, and anomaly reporting/resolution. Take direction from and communicate with N-USNC Communications and Operations personnel and staff in the N-NC Command Center, the GLOBALCOP at USSTRATCOM, and the National Military Command Center (NMCC) at the Pentagon. GCCS Operations Crew members are responsible for coordinating, performing, and documenting day-to-day GCCS system administration activities and maintaining N-NC COP situational awareness. Makes on-line and off-line configuration changes in support of operations, tests or exercises as directed by the N2C2 and Joint Services Support Center (JSSC) at NMCC. Generate trouble tickets with the JSSC to identify, document, and track system issues and anomalies. Provides GCCS system technical recommendations and impact analysis to mission users. Directly involved in the coordination and execution of GCCS system software upgrades, and test/exercise support. Required Skills: Must have a basic knowledge of and experience with Department of Defense and/or U.S. Air Force Command, Control, and Communications hardware Must have a broad, deep, professional customer service orientation and demeanor Must have an understanding of client peripherals including KVMs, card readers, monitors, and printers Must have the flexibility to occasionally work different shifts (days, nights, holidays and weekends) if and when needed. Periodically relocate to our Alternate Site Must have experience handling and protecting highly classified information, data, and systems. Must be willing to receive training and achieve GCCS System Administration crew qualification within 6 months Must be able to work efficiently alongside peers and in a team environment Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT II requirements (e.g. a current Security + CE certificate) Must have or be able to quickly obtain a current Red Hat Linux Operating System Certificate Must have a final DoD Secret security clearance or above and be able to maintain it Desired Skills: Technical and communications skills/experience to effectively interface with USAF, DoD customers at high levels in a "real time" support environment. Knowledge of and successful experience with troubleshooting computer systems and networks is desired. Successful experience in a high-visibility, mission-focused environment where systems availability is closely monitored and prioritized is highly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with military customs and courtesies desired Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a related field of study plus at least 4 years of related professional experience.
