Active military,transitioning service members and veterans are strongly encouraged to applyJob PurposeThe OHE Foreman leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to theplacement of overhead electrical cables to meet customer needs, ensuringcrew safety, keeping track of employee hours, completing daily and weekssafety briefings/inspections, and calls in project utility locations. Thisposition oversees the Line team and works with other personnel from otherdeparEssential Functions1.Obtain all the necessary materials for the job and ensure all permits andlicense are in place.2.Oversee, accomplish, and ensure all work quality related to each projectand assume full responsibility for its standard and timeliness. Inspect workto ensure job quality and communicate with customers.3.Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members related to digging andplacing product.4.Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and ensure utilities locates arecompleted for each Job.5.Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure thecrews work safely.6.Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.7.Place overhead electrical cables.8.Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach various kinds ofhardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles.9.Perform aerial tasks, such as new cable installs, pole transfers,strand building, cable hanging, and lashing. This is only allowed if nocritical work is being performed that the Foreman is not needed as a Qualified10.Perform construction work, such as digging holes, placing cable, airpipe, and inner duct work in various types of conduit systems and openexcavati11.Climb utility poles and/or use aerial lift truck to place cables on polesper system design.12.Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.13.Tracks employee hours, Wip and inventory work orders for billing on atimely manner.14.Drive, haul, and/or operate equipment to/from job sites to assistcrews in completion of work.15.Keep the job(s) moving on time, clean up, and perform jobrestoration at the end of job.16.Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.Minimum Qualifications1.A High School Degree, or equivalent.2.6 years of experience.3.2 years of supervisory experience or Mentorship.4.CDL Class A license.5.Understanding of advanced electrical principles, including knowledge ofelectricity and how to safely work around it.6.Knowledge of customer's specifications being able to read and interpretprints and explain them to others.7.Proficiency in all phases of line construction.8.Compliance with proper safety standards, procedures, and work practicesaccording to MasTec or the customer, whichever standard is higher.9.Ability to talk with customers' inspectors and have a sense of customerservice.10.Experience operating heavy equipment and general construction.11.Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with theability to judge distance and space relationships.12.Precise hand-eye coordination.13.Ability to identify and distinguish colors.14.Ability to work outdoors, even in extreme weather...
