Position Description:At RSM, interns work with large and small companies in various industries.They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understandingtheir businesses and challenges. Interns work on multiple team engagementseach year, including several pieces of any particular assignment - not justone part. Working in a mutually respectful team environment helps ourassociates perform at their best and integrate their career with theirpersonal life.As an intern in the Business Analytics practice, you will activelyparticipate in learning the software solutions and engage in the full cycle ofan ERP implementation. This will include working directly with clients,learning their business and gathering the requirements of a tailored,effective software solution. Associates will have integral involvement indesigning, building and documenting system enhancements, and then testingthe results and training customer personnel in their use.Examples of the candidate's responsibilities include:Learning top-tier business software solutionsCollaborating with clients and project teams to gather a deep understanding ofa client's business operations and business needs, to develop requirementsfor the implementation of NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics AXBuilding reports, dashboards and scorecards using a variety of toolsUnderstanding, communicating and interpreting client business processes andrequirementsConfiguring the prescribed software solution to match a client's businessrequirementsParticipating in full lifecycle implementations, including qualityassurance, testing of the new application, as well as ensuring riskmitigation of a projectCollaborating and working effectively with consultants in other regions andpracticesBasic Qualifications:Working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accrediteduniversityAccounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology,Operations, Supply Chain, Computer Engineering, Computer Science,Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other businessrelated or technical disciplineTravel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to andability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to thoselocationsPreferred Qualifications:Developing proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine (databaseadministration/maintenance), SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL ServerIntegration ServicesExperience using T-SQL scripts (stored procedures, views, functionsetc.) to manipulate data and simplify access to dataExperience with data modeling (normalized and de-normalized datamodels), understanding of the appropriate purpose for eachExperience developing basic web/desktop applications using ASP.NET frameworkExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work as an effective member of a team as well as independentlyMotivated to work in a fast-paced environmentClient focusedAbility to multitaskStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsYou want your next step to be the right one.
