U.S. Bank CMBD Data Analyst in Denver, Colorado

U.S. Bank is seeking a proficient ServiceNow Application Data Analyst with technology assessment and evaluation experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. This data specialist will maintain data and relationships in CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and ServiceNow. Profile data sets in support of business cases identifying dependencies and process risks. Provide attention to detail and follow through on corrective action and ability to engage with managers/senior managers to ensure their data sources and database are consistent. Conduct periodic assessments of current processes to identify errors in the Configuration process and recommend improvements. Consider dependencies, relationships, and integration points to ensure proper solution integration with other systems when applicable. Provide technical input on statements of work to help ensure appropriate level of effort. Assist in gathering and/or reviewing clients process requirements and assisting on how they map to ServiceNow.

The ServiceNow Data Analyst is responsible for managing development projects; documenting workflows and business processes; and communicating those processes to the ServiceNow team so appropriate solutions can be developed to meet the needs of customers. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how all ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow. This includes, but is not limited to Incident Management, Change Management, Problem, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, and Problem Management modules.

  • Build initial project plan and adhere to larger project plans to finish tasks as assigned and update stakeholders of date/scope/task changes

  • Ensure project dependencies are clearly defined, documented and communicated appropriately in terms of time required to complete

  • Manage customer expectations to coincide with the needs of all relevant stakeholders, including other customers, resource limitations, and IT policies and best practices

  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure business requirements are clarified and documented. Must be able to create process/data flows and wireframes in order to clearly communicate a set of requirements including flowcharts of data flow diagrams

  • Create and execute test cases and report on testing progress

  • Provide project support

Qualified candidates may be considered for remote work but working out of Minnesota office locations is preferred.

Basic Qualification:

  • At least 3 years of ServiceNow or CMDB experience

  • At least 3 years of monitoring, analyzing and recommending improvements to asset management and configuration management data & processes

  • At least 3 years making configuration changes within ServiceNow Configuration and Asset modules.

  • CMDB specialist skills to manipulate data in ServiceNow.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of product such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Visio. Intermediate use of MS Project, MS SQL.

  • Experience articulating and documenting improvement recommendations (change requests) for data, tool configuration and process.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification

  • ServiceNow Development Experience

  • ServiceNow Data Architect

  • Functional knowledge and implementation experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and demonstrated project management skills and experience working directly with customers and clients

  • Analytical problem solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and activities and deal with change

  • Independently handle and/or drive the assigned projects

  • Program Languages: Java Script, CSS, HTML, Angular JS, Bootstrap, Server Side scripting, Jelly Script, jQuery

  • Experience in Scripting/implementing/ administering of ServiceNow
