Kforce Desktop Support Specialist in Denver, Colorado

Kforce has a client that is seeking a temporary to permanent opportunity in Denver, Colorado (CO).

  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced hardware issues with laptops and desktops such as a device not booting into windows, broken screens, hard drive failures etc.; The candidate should be able to extract the user's data and provide a resolution that minimizes business downtime

  • Ability to troubleshoot and assist with domain profile issues; Possible scenarios are a temporary profile loading / corrupt profile not allowing login etc.

  • The ability to retrieve data from the devices when failure is occurring to reduce productivity downtime

  • Ability to troubleshoot PC domain connectivity / group policy issues, this includes the basics such as joining a PC to the domain, navigating active directory, and pulling logs of policies that are applying / not applying; The candidate should have a strong knowledge of understanding of an enterprise infrastructure

  • Understanding basic network infrastructure of an enterprise network; This includes understanding what a VLAN is and the reasons for resource segregation

  • The ability to troubleshoot network connectivity such as ping, trace routes, telnet etc.

  • Basic knowledge of the switches, routers, firewalls etc.; Programming knowledge is not needed, but the understanding of each devices role and use is needed
