Position SummaryThis position is responsible for checking fluid levels (fuel, grease,and oil) and performing preventative maintenance (lubrication, oilchanges, oil/air filters, and oil samples) on all heavy equipment usedon construction projects. The oiler must also safely operate a lube/greasetruck to dispense lubricants to construction equipment. Must be able to takedirection and accurately log daily activities, such as oil changes,samples, fuResponsibilities* Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies andprocedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task* Experience servicing various types of heavy construction equipment.* Responsible for fueling all equipment on assigned locations.* Service and lube all equipment as necessary.* Servicing a wide variety of heavy construction equipment including pavers,rollers, loaders, and other equipment* Checking and maintaining proper fluid levels for various compartmentsincluding engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.* Monitoring and maintaining inventories of fuel, oil, filters and othersupplies* Performs visual inspections on equipment and provide written report ofconditions and deficiencies* Completes all paperwork as necessary, including but not limited to workorders, parts requests, time cards, logs, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, etc.* Perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities* Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits* Hands on experience in truck and equipment maintenance preferred.* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency* Perform well in a "TEAM" environment* Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, requiredovertime and weekends* Communicate effectively, both written and verbally* Valid CDL (A) license and clean driving record* Class A CDL w/Tanker, Hazmat endorsements required.* Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screenMinimum Education and Experience* 3-4 years of oiler/lube technician experience.* Experience with heavy equipment desired.* High School Diploma or equivalent requiredPhysical Requirements and Conditions* Ability to lift 75 pounds* Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use ofyour arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing,lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
