Zayoserves wireless and wireline carriers, media, tech, content,finance, healthcare and other large enterprises.Position DescriptionThe GIS Developer will be part of a GIS Development team using Esri's ArcGISsuite of products that provide business solutions through interactive mappingapplications, both desktop and web-based.. This GIS ecosystem along and other fiber management tools is core to Zayo'sarchitecture and fundamentally supports the company's overall businessstrategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about GIS and Applicationdevelopment and have a desire to work in a fast paced environment where skillsets will develop quickly.The candidate will develop data, scripts, and applications to helpinternal Zayo users analyze optimal fiber routes and other assets, toprovide the best solution for customers. Responsibilities will includedeveloping, testing, debugging and maintaining an array of customweb-based GIS applications, tools and supporting web services.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain custom applications, tools, and services in an Esrienvironment using SQL Server, Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, REST,JSON, SQL, and relevant Esri technologies (ArcGIS Enterprise, SDE, Esri APIs)Design, develop, and support server-based geoprocessing scripts,tools, and processes for automated data updates with Python and SQLstatements.Utilize Agile and Scrum methodologies in order to self-organize, trackprogress, and update status of projects.Troubleshoot various GIS issues for a user base of over 100 users. Problemsinclude bugs with tools, server management issues, issues withprocesses, and questions about new workflows.Develop and document GIS processes and procedures.Assist other teams with various, ad-hoc GIS requests.QualificationsA degree in Geography/GIS, computer science, or other closely relateddiscipline with a strong focus on geographic concepts and principals.3-5 years of experience developing GIS applications in Python and JavaScriptcarrying out medium to large-scale automation processes.Experience working in an Agile environment using development sprints and ScrummeetingsExtensive knowledge of Esri's ArcGIS suite of products including vector datacreation and management.Strong IT skills and experience with ArcGIS for desktop, ArcGIS Online,Web App Builder and JavaScript APIProficient with ESRI Server and Portal use, management of licenses andaccountsFamiliarity with SQL, relational databases, and ArcGIS ServerBasic understanding of development, test and production database environmentsExperience working on code as part of a team, and specifically giving andreceiving feedback on code.Comfortable troubleshooting GIS issues, balancing a variety of demandsindependently, training issues, and explaining technical problems tonon-technical users.Must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversityKnowledge of telecommunications industry helpfulRewardsCompetitive compensationBase salary range: $68,696-$74,856Full-time Zayo employees are also eligible for discretionary quarterlyshort-term and long-term incentive cash bonuses which are based on theperformance of the Company, an employee's business segment, and theindividual employeeExcellent benefits including health, dental, vision, 401 (k),disability and life insuranceFitness membership discountsGenerous paid time off policy including paid parental leave
