Overview of the Role
This position is responsible for supporting the ETL and Data Development team to ensure high quality data is available for both internal and external clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the trainee program the candidate will be expected to enthusiastically:
Learn and understand data types in a data warehousing environment.
Learn the various types of data storage structures in a business environment.
At a moderate level of competence, understand all functional areas of Client Facing and EIM data development including, Web, CRM, Reporting, and EIM (Data Warehouse).
Actively learn about the financial industry and how it relates to the data we expose to our customers and clients.
Start working in the tools necessary to move data throughout a company including Informatica, SQL Server, Oracle, TOAD, Autosys, and any other tools as necessary.
Work with the various types of files received internally and from 3rd parties.
Assumes additional duties as assigned
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Basic knowledge of the finance industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to develop strategic business relationships
High degree of self-motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
Annual Performance Appraisal
Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Working Environment/Physical Activities
PC usage up to 100% of the time.
Office equipment such as telephone, copier, and fax machines, etc.
Cellular phone and/or digital pager may be required.
Overtime and weekend hours may be required.
