Join a global company and have the opportunity to manage your own plant in an environment focused on safety and team development.We have an opening for a Plant Manager at our helium liquefaction facility in Doe Canyon, Colorado located outside of Cortez in Cahone County. The facility’s front-end purifier process is a first of its kind consisting of a CO2 Column feeding a PSA of which helium is then liquefied in the cryogenic liquefier. Both reciprocating and screw compression will be used and there will be additional challenges surrounding Light, and Noise pollution due to state regulations. In addition, there will be a small nitrogen liquefier of 16 tons a day to minimize hauled in LIN requirements. The feed gas for the facility will be supplied by neighboring facility Kinder Morgan consisting mainly of CO2 in which all but a minimal amount, must be returned back to their facility. As the Plant Manager, you would lead a team of 8 operators, 4 mechanics and a Site Supervisor. The Doe canyon facility is a helium liquefier supplying our global market. You would be responsible and accountable for maintaining the safety and environmental standards, the safety and well-being of the employees, overall maintenance and production. The candidate is responsible and accountable for reliability, maximizing efficiency and productivity results, labor costs and specific site cost centers as well as developing the Team. Additionally the manager is responsible for the maintenance, project work, reliability, HR issues, leadership, manpower resources, cost control and asset management through relationships and alignment with horizontally integrated functional support organizations. The position reports to the Line Mgr. Helium Operations. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES:• Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.• Direct and monitor plant production to efficiently meet customer requirements.• Provide leadership to effectively identify and promulgate global Helium plant best practices and work processes.• Identify, analyze, and resolve personnel problems to ensure an effective, involved, and motivated work force.Implement and Follow Best Practices:• Ensure excellence in performance and continuity of management through the effective selection, development, and motivation of a team of employees organized to optimize individual and group capabilities.• Maintain superior community relations.• Lead asset management efforts to drive continuous improvement in business profitability.• Maintain outstanding customer relations through superior reliability and highly effective communications with customers.
