Premios is a technology consulting firm focused on a specific market in the upstream Oil and Gas industry. This industry has typically had older systems but is experiencing a resurgence in interest to update their systems and utilize the latest techniques in data science to become more efficient, effective, safer, and profitable. It is an exciting time in this industry with many startups entering the field with a new focus on technology.

Premios is currently looking for a: Software Architect. This position will work with clients to help analyze, design and develop technology systems and tools to utilize in the organization which can help promote efficiency in their organizations. The ideal candidate will have worked in the technology industry, preferably specific to the oil and gas markets. The candidate should s have a good understanding of the agile methodology for implementing technology tools into an organization. The successful candidate will have experience working in a software architect role, specifically working for technology-based services.
Analyze data, security of systems, and networks to identify trends or relationships among variables.
Participate in staffing decisions, assign duties or work schedules to employees and supervise project work.
Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues.
Prepare analytical reports and present the results and identify solutions to problems to leaders in the organization.
Design, code, modify, and support SQL Server databases containing key customer information.
And all other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
8+ years in a Sr. Developer or Architect capacity working in a technology-based environment.
Experience working with AWS is preferred.
Ability to provide deliverables within an Agile methodology.
Microsoft stack experience is preferred
Act as a decision-making Team Lead. The Team Lead should be able to contribute effectively by phone to Premios meetings with Customers in the US including representing the technical aspects of the Premios product design to clients and commenting on (but not committing to) the feasibility of the enhancements being discussed.
Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes, and offer solutions to team.
Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
Experience and Qualifications
Familiar with Agile methods and the ability to manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
Experience developing data warehouses storing data from multiple organizations.
Working knowledge of Power BI and working with projects requiring data analytics skills using this technology and presenting analysis back to end users and leadership.
Experience in designing and supporting multi-tenant databases, including appropriate security measures.
Experience with data transformations to aggregate, rationalize and consolidate data.
Experience with data visualization tools (Experience with Microsoft Power BI strongly preferred.)
Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred.
