Install Specific Tasks and Other Job Functions
Conduct physical installs using a variety of equipment and tools including but not limited to; measuring devices, hand tools, power tools (impact, drill, rotary hammer, etc.) various ladder types and sizes, Multi-meter, Shade analysis Tools.
Drive box truck to job site.
Greet customers/tenants in a professional manner
Set anchors and use PPE (personal protective equipment) properly
Use panel dimensions and racking requirements to map out arrays on roof
Find rafters and drill pilot holes into rafter
Set mounts into roof securely without 'kicking' or missing the rafter
Secure modules properly and in an aesthetic manner
Make MC4 connectors and manage PV wiring to rails
Flash all unnecessary or un-needed roof penetrations
Make critical decision onsite about design aspects like wiring and mapping of arrays.
Install solar accessories such as snow guards, critter guards and solar roof jacks
Attend organization and other trainings and meetings as required
Provide support to all operations needs and other crews
Help and continue onsite training of new crew members
Oversee and help the performance of the physical panel installs.
Insure that all installs meet or excessed quality standards.
Verify all site safety requirements including exclusion zones, road cones, and proper PPE use of all crew members
Photo document install progress and finished product.
Follow organization policies and procedures including OSHA requirements. Complete OSHA training as required

Education/Experience
High School or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, NABCEP preferred
OSHA 10 preferred or required to obtain post hire
A minimum of two years photovoltaic installation experience is required
Preferred experience with solar accessories like snow guards, critter guard and solar roof jacks
Proficiency with computers/cellphones/tablets to operate apps like BOX and SiteCapture
.Ability for and no fear of working from ladders/scaffolding or working on roofs
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
