  • Source materials, services and equipment in accordance with established company practices and procedures.

  • Recommend vendor selection to internal stakeholders with emphasis on best economic value and defined company procurement objectives.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to get the optimal quality, cost and delivery while maintaining healthy relationships with all suppliers, regardless of purchase award.

  • Generate and issue purchase orders through the ERP system in accordance with established company procedures.

  • Setup blanket agreements with suppliers where appropriate.

  • Be responsible for the tracking of all open orders. Update and maintain order schedules in our ERP system.

  • Use our MRP system to align and balance material delivery schedules according to production and installation requirements.

  • Understand in detail suppliers? strengths and weaknesses and be able to articulate them clearly to internal stakeholders.

  • Act as central point of contact for suppliers within the product types you own. Guide suppliers on how they can be successful in doing business with USA Millwork.

  • Perform root cause analysis of any supplier issues, such as missed deliveries or quality issues. This includes recommendation for corrective action to prevent recurrence.

  • When possible, implement supplier managed and owned inventories.

  • Validate and distribute monthly forecasts to suppliers.

  • Drive continuous improvement in Supply Chain by taking on various programs or projects on an ongoing basis.


  • Bachelor?s degree in a related field. Master?s degree is a plus.

  • 3 + years minimum experience in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain best practices, techniques, procedures and policies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, specifically building trust of internal stakeholders.

  • A ?service oriented? approach. Meaning that our internal customers needs are paramount to the company?s success, and we must do all we can to meet their needs.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.

  • The ability to use data for problem resolution, meaning an intermediate/advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Excel. For example, be able to perform vlookups, pivot tables, and if statements to aid in problem resolution. Ability to create charts and graphs to communicate important issues.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.

  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.

  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.

  • Previous woodworking industry experience is a plus, though not required.
