POSITION DESCRIPTION:Oktais looking for a Test Engineering Architect.Thisrole operates as atechnical,hands-onfacilitatorin the Quality Organization and is a strategicparticipant acrossinter-dependentsoftwaredevelopmentefforts.Theidealcandidatecares deeplyaboutefficiency in the softwaredevelopment processand has demonstrated experienceleveragingbest-of-breedtoolsand frameworks to deliver complete automated test suites.They will own testarchitecture for Oktas Identity Management engineering efforts and partnerwith various groups to drive cross functional initiatives. We work with them to understand their use cases, then partnerwith teams to build test strategies and plans tosupportfunctional and servicerequirements.We respond quicklytoflakey andexpensiveteststo minimize impact toourteams that depend on them, working together onautomation processesandbest practices.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsible for identifying and defining strategic and productivityinitiatives to improve quality and velocity of the organization* Partner with dev to define engineering (integration) use cases andtestability requirements* Express a strong, coherent vision forthe execution of automated testscripts and validation ofproductrequirements* Help developers and quality engineers work together towards a common visionof quality* Architectthe design, modification, development, and implementation oftest automation frameworks* Partner withtheEngineering Productivity Teamto optimize the CI pipelineanddevexperience* Responsible forimprovements to quality of tests and test coverage* Execute practical application of Agile components (user stories,stand-ups, sprints, etc.)* Participate in scrum, daily stand-up, sprint and iterative developmentactivities* Participate in design reviews for tests, feature development,micro-services and reliability* Extend tool capabilities and integrate with other technologies by codinginterfaces, new functions, custom objects, etc.REQUIRED SKILLS:* 7+ years of software development background* 5+ years of manual and automation testing experience of n-tier applications* 5+ years of experience working in an iterative software developmentlifecycle* 5+ years hands-on experience developing automation tools, framework,continuous integration and build automation systems* Hands on experience with automation for microservices, APIs, SeleniumWebdriver using Java* Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases* Understanding of scale and performance testing* Strongproblem solving,troubleshooting, andanalyticskills in a multi-tierSaaS environment* Excellent verbal and written communicationPREFERRED SKILLS:* Strong knowledge and understanding of continuous delivery pipelines andtools* Continuous delivery pipeline integration approaches for testing automation* Experience working in a highly automated enterprise class softwareenvironment preferably of scale with thousands of tests going through a gatedCI pipeline* Experience testing identity management or security software, ActiveDirectory, O365 or MS Apps integration and other industry leadingapplication integration is a plusEDUCATION AND TRAINING:* B.S. or M.S.in ComputerScience, or related fieldOktais an Equal Opportunity EmployerOkta is rethinking the traditional work environment, providing our employeeswith the flexibility to be their most creative and successful versions ofthemselves, no matter where they are located.
