Req ID = 318943619KGPCo is actively seeking experienced and talented Lead Central OfficeEquipment (COE) Installers (Level III/IV) across the country for itsgrowing services division. The Lead COE Installer is responsible for theinstallation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment for a variety ofcarriers. This includes fiber, transport equipment and all criticalinfrastructures within a central office. This lead role will providehigh-quality service in customer technical spaces including data centers,mobile telephone switch centers, central office wire centers, anddesignated enterprise spaces.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Physically place, remove, ormodify working and non-working equipment including the following: Cabletrays and/or rackingData equipment cabinets and frames, data servers,switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers,transceivers, firewallsBDFBs and fuse panelsIdentify, label, measure,terminate and physically route the cables that supply AC and/or DC power ortransmit data in various technical spacesConduct testing and documentperformance characteristics of hardware and software; determineefficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systemPerformtest and turn-up along as well as other integration activitiesResolveequipment and technical issues as they ariseRead, analyze, and interpretdetailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and methodof procedures (MOPs)Perform quality validation on in-process and completedworkComplete operations paperwork (e.g. expense reports, timesheets, jobdocumentation, etc.) including daily job status reports as requestedMayoversee the work of less experienced installers; assume responsibility forthe successful completion of installation projectsAct as a customer contact;interface with customers and local supervisors regarding projectstatusInteract with all members of the organization including Installation,EngSAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibilityfor compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and HealthRegulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and IllnessPrevention Program ManualParticipate in job site safety/hazard analysisHighschool diploma or equivalent required, technical or college degree preferredMinimum of five years of central office equipment installation experienceClearunderstanding of ATandT, Telcordia, and/or Verizon QualityStandardsKnowledge and experience with transport equipment including Ciena,Fujitsu, Cisco, Calix, Adtran, Nortel, Nokia, etc.Background infiber optic cable and AC/DC power installation and testingpracticesProficient use of Microsoft programs, IOS and/or Androidapplications Ability to read and understand technical drawings anddocumentationGood mechanical aptitude including usage of basic powertoolsStrong organization as well as verbal and written communicationskillsDemonstrated problem-solving skills; ability to define problems,collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsTRAVEL:Willing to travelValid driver's license with acceptable drivingrecord and proof of insuranceMust have reliable transportation and the abilityto transport minor job-related tools and equipment to work locationsKGPCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer -M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
