Description Job SummaryFabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use ofwelders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Carryout production, inspection, and welding operation dutiesOperate basic shop equipment (band saw, grinders, etc.)Use various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gage)Builds fixtures for work holding as requiredPerform TIG, MIG, and other types of welding based on project needsSet up welding machines in accordance with job to be performedRead blueprints and technical data to plan layout and proceduresWork with designers and engineers to resolve print/part issues and exchangetechnical informationDeburr and clean parts as requiredOther Duties as assigned.Additional Job RequirementsMaintain a safe and clean work spaceFollow established safety rules and regulationsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent travelingSubject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position. Inaccordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonableaccommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees mayperform the essential functions of the position.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two or moreyears' related welding experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.Previous experience reading blue prints and job traveler specifications todetermine the proper tooling required to set up each job.Knowledge of welding the following materials; Aluminum, Mild Steel, andStainless Steel.SkillsGeneral math skillsKnowledge of machines in a manufacturing environmentBasic familiarity with the use of hand tools.Ability to read and interpret blue prints.Ability to read a Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart at 16in. corrected or un corrected.Ability to pass an AWS D17.1 Class A weld certification test using GTAWwelding processComputer SkillsNoneCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsNoneAir Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
