The Company provides"best in class" groundwater and surface water level and water qualitymonitoring equipment along with data transmission and management softwareresulting in an exceptional customer experience.Not only does In-Situ provide an attractive offering to our customers, thecompany also places a high value on engagement in our community,environmental projects, employee wellness and creating an open and fun workenvironment.Primary Responsibilities Work closely with new product Project Manager and project teams toprovide procurement support during development phases. Use Lean Manufacturing and best practices to secure materialavailability, quality, and cost for materials that support In-Situ's NPDProjec Lead and develop In-Situ's supply chain to meet objectivesincluding: cost, delivery, and TTM. Work with supply chain manager on strategic sourcing decisions. Partnerwith engineers to ensure vendors have the right capabilities and technologyavailable to support objectives. Establish and refine vendor assessment / scorecard process Represent Production and NPD by recommending long term sustainablesourcing decisions Provide cost estimates and secure target costing for project materials. Develop vendors to work with lean principles, negotiate with vendorson cost, and lead time. Establish contracts and agreements with vendors tosecure cost and availability. Establish Kanban planning attributes for new parts and establish Kanbanlevels for production. Secure Inventory for product launches and coordinate project handoffswith production team Facilitate corrective actions with vendors for quality issues, driveto root cause. Work with vendors to reduce lead times on quotes and orders for NPDprojects. Understand, define, and document departmental policies and procedures. Identify waste and drive improvements throughout the supply chain,build partnerships, add value to the business, and support the leanmanufacturing model.Requirements BS degree in a related field 5+ years purchasing experience Strong understanding and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools Strong understanding of commodity landscape and strategic sourcinginitiatives. Excellent written and verbal communications skills Solid interpersonal skills, proven ability to form effective workingrelationships Strong desire to grow and develop In-Situ's vendors and see crossfunctional teams succeed.
