NVIDIA is working to make computer graphics benchmarks more useful and relevant to end users. We want to hire an engineer to develop groundbreaking graphics performance benchmarks and to help make them run faster on NVIDIA hardware. If you join our team, you will continue to improve your skills with knowledge of various professional applications such as Creo, 3D Studio Max, Solidworks, and others. This is a dynamic area of technology, so you will have many opportunities to learn about state of the art applications. We are very passionate about graphics and benchmarking; if you share our passion, you might be the person we need.

What you'll be doing:

We are developing new techniques to benchmark professional graphics applications. A key part of your job will be to analyze the graphics API work performed by the applications, and to isolate that work to build robust performance benchmarks. You will help us find creative ways to script the benchmarks to ensure accuracy and repeatability. You will also help design and implement new driver and hardware features to improve performance on these benchmarks. Collaborate with other outstanding NVIDIA engineers to make a difference in the industry!

What we need to see:

A bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent work experience, is required. We would like a software engineer with at least a year of experience with C and C++ development. Additional experience with scripting tools such as Python or Perl would be helpful.

We are looking for a strong contributor, with good interpersonal skills, who also is:

  • Familiar with source code control software such as GIT

  • Experienced with software development practices such as design and code reviews

  • Comfortable developing software in the Windows 10 environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Development of low-level systems software

  • Fundamentals of statistics, including variance analysis

  • Implementing modern benchmarking best-practices

  • Developing software on other operating systems, such as Linux or OSX

  • The use of graphics APIs such as OpenGL or Direct3D

  • GPU compute frameworks such as CUDA or OpenCL

NVIDIA offers competitive pay and benefits, including flexible time off, family leave time, and high-quality medical benefits. NVIDIA is an equal-opportunity employer and will provide reasonable accommodations for those who need them.
