Position Purpose
The role of a Warehouse Person is an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. This position requires the receiving, delivering, issuing and keeping an inventory of repair and maintenance, operating, and packaging items in the warehouse. It is important for them to keep an inventory on everything that comes in and out of the warehouse. They also need to have communication skills, because they will be interacting with various people; employees, supervisors, and managers.
Principal Accountabilities
The responsibilities/duties this position requires are communication with supervisors, employees, as well as superintendents and managers. They make sure that the correct quantity of equipment is issued to the correct departments. They are responsible for receiving product and equipment. They are responsible for keeping inventory of everything in the warehouse as well as making deliveries. They are also responsible for the organization of the warehouse and the housekeeping.
Position is primarily 2nd shift and will cover 1st or 3 rd shift vacations/absences as needed
Weekend work based on rotating schedule
Walking and standing for extended periods
Communicating with employees, leads, supervisors, and managers
Creating documentation both written and digitally
Ensuring general safety
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.75. This position is eligible for an Employee referral bonus: $500.00 and an attendance bonus: $2.00 /hr
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Computer Skills
Obtain Forklift license
Communication skills
Flexible hours-1 st and 3 rd Shift coverage as assigned
Rotating weekend schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Cargill experience
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Previous forklift experience
Work history in the past 12 months
Previous warehouse, Inventory Control or mechanical experience
