ICF Consulting Group, Inc. IT Business Analyst in Golden, Colorado

ICF is seeking a Business Analyst for our Growth, Engagement & Insights Group.

In this role, you will work with project managers, technical architects, and clients to help define and organize business and technical requirements for our quantitative data processing, reporting, and customer insights platform. This involves interviewing stakeholders to help refine and maintain requirements and keep product documentation and artifacts up to date.

The artifacts should be maintained including data mapping spreadsheets, a pragmatic approach to product feature documentation, and maintenance of configuration information for client implementations. Candidates should be comfortable working on a software product development team following a scrum development methodology.

Candidates should be highly independent and driven to follow-up on tasks without prompting. Our software solution is quantitative and analytical so a desire and experience to work on complex subject material with a lot of detail is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support meetings with stakeholders and help prepare functional requirements documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories

  • Generate requirement specifications, use cases, process flow diagrams, and other system documentation into concise and specific language to facilitate stakeholder understanding

  • Support project delivery through task tracking and project management using project management tools

  • Work with and assist QA team to develop and implement test cases and acceptance criteria for releases

  • Support stakeholders through training, as well as one-on-one technical assistance

  • Develop an understanding of the operational processes and procedures and take initiative on process improvements

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in quantitative subject (math, engineering, science, etc.)

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Experience with or interest in agile software development process

  • Clearly defines and documents business processes and software requirements

  • Develops system documentation to track issues and to work with developers to ensure that requirements are being met

  • Balances and prioritizes multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines

  • Works collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in MS Office products
