In the role of a Quality Technisian working at the Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado you will be part of the Quality Team . You will be responsible for performing a variety of basic microbiological or chemical and physical analysis on products, raw materials, and in-process materials per MillerCoors quality system requirements.
This position reports to our retail Quality Process Lab Manager.
The Responsibilities :
Collect and process product samples in order to perform, interpret and evaluate chemical and microbiological analyses
Provide timely, accurate and precise chemical and microbiological analysis on raw materials, in process and package samples
Participate in proficiency testing to ensure accuracy of techniques, methodology & equipment
Develop trends and summarize analytical and microbiological information to stabilize and improve the process
Utilize basic SPC tools to monitor trends and report any anomalies
Effectively communicate out of control conditions to the team to take appropriate actions to stabilize the process
Monitor, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure appropriate levels of quality supplies
The Other Qualifications –
Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of microbiology and chemistry
Understand importance of standard operating procedures and test methods
Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrument maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of basic statistical methods and computer skills
Familiarity and basic understanding of the brewing process
Familiarity with quality systems
Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
Strong organizational, time management and planning skills
Experience with problem solving techniques
Familiarity with concept of continuous improvement
Must exhibit the flexibility needed to respond to frequent changes in production requirements
Must exhibit the ability to collect samples from a variety of environmental conditions in the manufacturing facility
