Duration: 8+ months

LocationRemote – Based out of Ohio

Job Title: Java Developer - ServiceNow

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Overview:The Java Developer will join a ServiceNow Delivery team of 6 employees and 3 contractors who perform a variety and ServiceNow Platform and application functions including: Architecture, Solution Design, Integration, Catalog Development, Workflow Automation, Testing, Continuous Improvement Sprints, Implementation and Documentation and Training. Candidate will spend most of their time on the automation of manual tasks for the building and deployment of both code and data; will consult on a number of projects as well as lead solution design session and ServiceNow integration efforts; will also train, supervise, and coordinate junior DevOps engineers; develop operations processes; implement new software deployment strategies; and conduct professional software testing when needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:The Java Developer will need to have 5+ years of development experience with object oriented programming languages Strong knowledge of the JavaScript programming language, experience with HTML, CSS, and basic web programming Ability to work and collaborate effectively on a software development team.

  • 5+ years of software engineering with experience in DevOps or development

  • 3-5+ years’ experience with frontend frameworks such as AngularJS

  • Experience with PowerShell, SSH, REST and other automation scripting languages/tools

  • At least 2-3 years of ServiceNow development experience

  • 5+ years of development experience with object-oriented programming languages

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript programming language with HTML, CSS and basic web programming

  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively on a sprint-based software development team

  • Experience using Confluence and Jira for documentation

  • Experience automating tests using Automated Testing Framework (ATF)

  • Experience using GIT Repositories for tracking changes in any set of files, originally designed for coordinating work among team members collaborating on source code during software development.

  • Strong oral and writing communications as well as presentation skills
