JBS Live Pork is hiring a Junior Merchandiser to work from the Greeley, Colorado corporate office. JBS Live Pork is the 7 th largest pork producer in the U.S. with pig production operations in 7 states. The Junior Merchandiser supports the merchandising team and business by assisting in the buying and selling of commodities, ingredient supply, as well as logistics related to feed mill operations.
Principle Responsibilities:
Quickly resolve logistics issues that can arise on daily feed ingredient deliveries
Navigate Purchase Order system to maintain contract quantities, purchase prices, freight rates, daily reports, etc.
Manage feed ingredient inventory at multiple mill locations
Sustain current vendor relationships and explore opportunities to establish new ones with ingredient suppliers and freight haulers
Collaborate with Accounts Payable for any payment discrepancy or inquiry
Communicate with outside vendors frequently to gather market data, establish trades or contract loads
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
Background and education in agricultural economics or agriculture business as well production agriculture highly desired
General knowledge of accounting process and ability to reconcile ability to use Excel and manipulate spreadsheets
Ability to utilize enterprise software and manage database of information
Ability to build relationships with vendors, as well as communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency – self-motivated and driven
Customer service oriented when working with grain customers and feed mill personnel.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
Base salary range of $45,255-$58,800; and
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
