JBS-Greeley Value Added Value Added Team Lead in Greeley, Colorado

Purpose and Scope:Our company is in search of a Value Added Team Lead. This position requiresthe ability to attain production and quality goals for customer specificationswhile ensuring the safest working environment possible. The person in thisposition is responsible for owning various functions of the business andcreating an engaged and team-oriented workforce in order to improve businessresults. The individual will identify problems or bottlenecks in productionprocesses and resolve issues; support continuous improvement goals insafety, quality, yields, cost, and customer service.Principle Responsibilities: Be able to direct the workforce. Excellent meat cutting skills Good Knife Sharpening skills Knowledge of various cuts/styles of protein products Insure package integrity including but not limited to (leakercontrol, temperature regulation, and weight checks.) Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment so production can begin. Insure all pre-operational paperwork including HACCP forms before start-up. Oversee all downtime reports for designated areas and troubleshoot. Maintain product counts for each production run. Stimulate maximum safety, efficiency, motivation and productivity Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and takeappropriate actions to meet production schedules Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities areproperly maintained and sanitized for efficient production Responsible for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizingyields, reducing cost and employee retentionQualifications: Good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead a group and be a part of the group Manage individual employee objectives as well as team performance andbuilding a team approach to problem solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer skillsRequirements:Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalency requiredExperience: Minimum 2-3 years in a food manufacturing plant or similarWorking Conditions: Cold and fast paced environment Heavy lifting Sharp equipment Manufacturing setting Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Schedule M-F and weekends when neededEOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
