Additionally,this individual will facilitate integration and evaluation of data central toGMR safety and risk, provide statistical programming and analysis, andproject support for a number of ongoing/future projects and serve as adepartmental subject matter expert in the area of data acquisition, analysisanLeadershipLeads the development of processes for effective data analysis and reportingin the area(s) of safety and risk through the development of/orinterface with various internal and external reporting and repositoryplatformsServes as an advisor to senior management on safety and risk data bestpractices, industry data trends and the availability of upgrades or emergingdata and analytical toolsExercises a management style that is team oriented, proactive and customerservice driven to build, supervise, and mentor a comprehensive dataanalysis team to ensure effectiveness, appropriate workload balanceAnalyticsEstablish and monitor safety management information systems to accuratelymeasure safety and risk performanceWorks with GMR safety and risk staff and leadership to establish relevantpredictive analytics and methods to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)Analyzes information, summarizes findings and presents them in clear anduseful reports understandable to decision-makersCollects data that aids in the assurance of continued compliance withapplicable regulatory agencies including but not limited to the OccupationsSafety and Health Administration (OSHA), Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) and various state regulatory groupsMonitors and recommends changes to event reporting and assignmentclassificationsPerforms specialized studies and fulfills special data requestsSupports GMR safety group with data acquisition and analysis during eventinvestigationsWorks with GMR and service line IT/IS departments on safety and risk database development/improvementDevelops predictive analysis methodologiesWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environmentLimited physical effort requiredMay be required to sit for long periods of timeClear speech, typing, hearing/listeningWorks alone or with others for extended hoursAnalytical, writing, reading, math, judgement, decision-making,clerical skillsPerform other duties as directed by the VP of SafetyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDBachelor's degree in computer programming/science, statistical analysisor related area or a combination of education and experienceExperience with Emergency Medical Services, Helicopter Air-Ambulance or Part121 Aviation operations a plusTwo (2) or more years of statistical analysis.
