Preventive Maint Please wait...Date: Sep 3, 2020Location:Lakewood, CO, US Company: Terumo BCT, Inc.Requisition ID: 26027Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Equipment MechanicJOB SUMMARYWith minimal supervision, supports maintenance needs of:simple/manual; semi automated; and certain aspects of fully automatedmanufacturing equipment. Maintenance activities include: troubleshooting ofmechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, and electrical systems;understanding and utilizing PLC input and output as a troubleshooting aide;minor equipment performance improvement activities; correctivemaintenance; and preventative maintenance.ESSENTIAL DUTIESCompletes maintenance activities such as: troubleshooting of mechanical,pneumatic, hydraulic, controls and electrical systems; uses the PLCI/O to troubleshoot machine control issues; equipment performanceimprovement projects; process validation activities; correctivemaintenance tasks; and preventative maintenance tasks.Contributes to process optimization through equipment design improvements,improvements to operating and maintenance procedures, and maintenanceactivities.Independently troubleshoots equipment with a high degree of quality andreliability.Implements permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurrent problems.Continues to develop skills and knowledge on equipment and RF weldingutilizing: self study; CiNet/OWL; and knowledgeable team members.Assists in developing the technical capabilities less experienced mechanics tohelp build their skills.Maintains a level of knowledge of the manufacturing technologies, processesand equipment to provide support for all processes and equipment in all areas.Learns and demonstrates proficiency with advanced maintenance practices andtechniques.Responds and executes work with a sense of urgency and utilizes supportsystems to minimize downtime.Performs all tasks in accordance with company and department policies,procedures, and guidelines.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay handle, collect, label and transfer hazardous waste followingestablished procedures and guidelines.May be required to work on other shifts and to be "on call" as needed.May lead special projects.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducationHigh school diploma or GED.ExperienceMinimum 5 years experience.SkillsWorks effectively and professionally with operations, team members, andengineers.Tasks are completed in a timely fashion and correct the first time.Workmanship meets or exceeds medical manufacturing industry documentedand/or generally accepted standards.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Demonstrated understanding and compliance with all safety requirements.Proficient with tools, instrumentation, and test equipment.Proficient with metric and English measurement systems.Solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, andelectrical principles and systems.Proficient in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, controls, andhydraulic maintenance techniques.Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and controlstroubleshooting skills.Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical drawings,flowcharts, and/or other drawings of a technical nature.Demonstrated ability to understand new and "first time worked on"mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls and electrical systems.Proficient in the use of the PLC I/O as a troubleshooting tool.Proficient with, and effective use of, relevant PC software applications.Ability to manage time effectively and in accordance with priorities.Demonstrated fluency with database and information systems as required by thedepartment.-Or-An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of thesequalifications may be considered.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsObtain Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Equipment Mechaniccertification per defined requirements and timeline.Achieve RF Welding qualification pe
