Lockheed Martin AI/ML Software Engineer Stf in Littleton, Colorado

Description: We are looking for AI/ML software engineers with software architecture experience who possess passion for conceptualizing, building, testing and maturing autonomous systems. This position provides the opportunity to apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques in the AI/ML software field to develop tangible, differentiated and meaningful solutions aimed at significantly enhancing the sustainment of complex systems and enabling future hyper-battlespace capabilities.

The candidate will leverage AI to create and sustain state-of-the-art technologies, with opportunities for study and experimentation in this area. The selected candidate will focus on development, integration and test, spanning the complete system development lifecycle. This includes requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight test. The candidate must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in software lifecycle architecture and trading off design choices based on system needs

• Experience in microservices to build architecture interface that are built to replace components over time

• Experience with programming languages (eg. Python, C++, Java, MatLab, CUDA, etc.) and ability to learn and transition to new programming languages as needed

• Experience understanding of training and evaluating Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and/or Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs)

• Experience with CNN model generation, RNN model generation, and/or reinforcement learning techniques

Desired Skills:

• Resource allocation experience for both fully utilizing the architecture and keeping multiple customers satisfied at once

• Experience with distributed AI systems would be a plus

• DevOps practices/tools for building pipelines onto deployed architectures

• Experience in automation throughout the software development cycle and across the architecture

• Knowledge of horizontal scalability in virtual environments with high availability in mind
