Position Summary:The service technician is responsible for completing all scheduledappointments on a daily basis. The technician is the primary contact for allservice appointments and it is critical that they provide superb customerservice. Complete all paperwork according to company systems. Typical work activities includes: completing serviceappointments, collection payment, completing all paperwork, keepingtruck clean and stocked and improving education. The position requires great attention to detail, ability to workwithin schedule, great customer service skills, positive attitude,professional/clean appearance, legible hand writing, ability to properlyfill out paperwork, good math skills and great communication with officestaff to ensure quality customer service.Responsibilities:Work for and under supervision of: Service Manager and Service AdministratorTruck: Keep work truck clean and stocked with parts. Maintain work truck:check fuel before leaving office, oil changes, tire pressure,cleanliness, tags, plates, washer fluid, antifreeze, stocked withparts, etc immediately notify equipment manager of mechanical issues.Service: Complete work according to Dean's expectations. Repair, serviceand maintain accounts. Maintain personal appearance, keep extra clothing intruck. Provide Dean's customer service. Customer walk-thru after repair iscompleted. Collect payment on each appointment. All "warranty" issues musthave prior approval before work may begin. Keep track of time. If you arerunning late, call customers and let them know an eta. Understand servicecontract and sell to customers. Complete repairs at the time of service. Ifmore work is needed outside the normal scope of time, call the office andreschedule while standing with the customer. Think that each customer is a15-20 year customer.Education: Constantly expand knowledge and seek opportunities toimprove/grow education by attending seminars, reading/listening to books, etcCommunication: Update office staff of problems, delays, missed orrescheduled appointments.
