Description:Facility: ARAPAHOE COUNTY RESIDENTIAL(ACRC)Compensation Base: $23.78Compensation Bonus (if applicable):Equal Opportunity Employer.SummaryUnder general supervision, performs general maintenance work with moderatelatitude for exercising individual knowledge and technical skill.This is a full time position with benefits and PTO. Overtime or "afterhours" on call may be requested, as per facility needs.Primary Duties and Responsibilities Performs facility maintenance (including plumbing, electrical,carpentry, landscaping, etc.) as directed by the Facility Director, sothat the facility operation is not adversely affected. Maintain security and control of all tools so safety and security of thestaff and facility are maintained. Follows all maintenance safety procedures and ensure compliance so thatresident and staff accidents are prevented. Respond to facility maintenance requests in a timely manner, so thatfacility is always in a safe condition. Maintains maintenance logs, tool inventories, Material Safety DataSheets, chemical inventories, etc. in accordance with applicable requirements Be aware of and convey resident's communications to appropriatesupervisors so that preventive measures can be taken to maintain the health,safety and security of the facility, residents and staff. Runs errands to pick up necessary supplies as needed, to ensure they areon hand to keep the facility running smoothly. Communicates with residents and staff in a professional manner to affirmand enhance self esteem and dignity and to maintain positive resident/staffrelations. Participates in staff meetings by sharing observations and recommendationsregarding the facility, residents and staff relations to identify and solveproblems and function as a unified team. Maintains confidentiality obtained through job duties regardingemployees, vendors, residents, outside agencies, etc. so thatsensitive information is only given on a "need to know" basis. Complies with work rules and policies as explained in the company EmployeeHandbook, and the Facility Policies and Procedures Manual; and respondpositively to directives from managers and supervisors in a cooperative spiritto ensure conformance to standards. Adheres to attendance policy; work overtime as required, to ensureadequate coverage of the program and to ensure the safety and security of theresidents. Complies with facility safety rules; take appropriate corrective actionto ensure work is performed in a safe manner and without injury to self orothers. Communicates effectivel y with all levels of staff in a mannerthat promotes a team spirit and a sense of cooperation.Other duties, as assigned.Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years general maintenance and/or related construction trade. Must have knowledge of equipment necessary for making proper repairs.
