3D Systems Master Scheduler/ Production Planner - 200000AL in Littleton, Colorado

Position OverviewThe best Production Planners are multi-functional as they manage and plan theschedule of a fleet of Laser Machines. They have the ability to work with allfunctions including engineering, manufacturing, accounting, and sales incoordinating all aspects of the product throughout the completion of a PO.This includes managing workflow of all process steps and communicating withthe proper channel to keep each PO line item on track for delivery. Theirgreatest skill is having the ability to communicate effectively andefficiently with all departments. Time management and urgency are a criticalfor success in this position..OrganizationAs part of the Healthcare unit of 3D Systems, the Littleton facility acts asa service bureau to enable customers without the expertise, capital, ordesire to additively manufacture their products. We are experts in digitalworkflows, patient-specific devices, and five different kinds of 3Dprinting. The Manufacturing department serves both the Virtual SurgicalPlanning as well as the Advanced Manufacturing product lines with plastic andmetal additive manufacturing.Performance ObjectivesPlan volume orders : Plan all volume orders within one business day ofreceipt. Account for printing, post processing, QC, and any outsideprocesses required to produce the product. Utilize the established planningmethodology and follow the work instruction for planning. Send a POconfirmation to the customer and communicate delivery dates for all lineitems. Adjust schedules as customer priorities and machine availabilitychanges and communicate changes to build preparation personnel and theproduction floor.Communicate Order Status to Customers : Send schedule updates to thecustomer regularly, and communicate immediately when technical issues affectthe schedule. Answer questions regarding forecast and capacity as needed.Execute Contract Review: Review released documentation, pricing,revisions and ability to meet requirements. Document each PO that is receivedand processed through the contract review process to ensure the smoothestmanufacturing process possible.Manage Post Processing and Outside Supplier Schedule : Track and manage thelead times of all post processing and outside supplier steps. It is crucial toconsistently communicate with the managers of each process if these lead timesslip from the expected timeline. At that time create and disperse a priorityplan to all affected groups. Volume Planner will notify Supply chain of anytime delays and participate in resolution as necessary.Manage Shipment Schedule : Manage shipment schedule and communicateshipments with Quality to ensure product delivery meets the customer'sexpectations.Report Revenue: Report revenue generation monthly to the Production PlanningSupervisor. This is to ensure products stay on track for quarterly revenuegoals and that the proper resources are allocated to hit those goals.Improve Business Processes: Work to improve processes with the knowledgegained while tracking product. Volume Planner will edit and release theseimprovements into the QMSDeliver On time : On time delivery is an important metric to help understandthe efficiency of the process flow and estimation of lead time. This metricshould be tracked on a quarterly basis.ExperienceThe successful candidate should to have at least 1-3 years background inmanufacturing, preferably as a planner or master scheduler. Understanding ofthe manufacturing process and practices is necessary. Previous customerservice experience is helpful.
