Lockheed Martin Systems Administrator Sr in Littleton, Colorado

Description: This position is for a Systems Administrator with experience in the IT Systems domain. Candidate will operate in a dynamic environment and interact with multiple user groups within the program. The candidate will maintain complex systems and networks. The Administrator will support highly technical end users by maintaining servers, networks, and virtual environments. A successful candidate must have a desire to learn new skills and technologies, work well with a team, have strong communication and documentation skills, and seek creative solutions that further the overall goals of the organization. The candidate will perform duties to include Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, and System/Software/User Maintenance. The candidate will be required to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties will include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. The candidate will monitor and adhere to policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources; to include monitoring and conducting reviews of security audit logs. The candidate will be required to provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices for the program. The candidate should have a working knowledge of IT systems, to include providing support for implementation, problem identification, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. The candidate should have a background with configuring and managing UNIX, LINUX, and Windows operating systems and have the ability to implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. The candidate will perform duties in accordance with program and customer policies and principles in support of development and operational system requirements; suggesting avenues to improve efficiency by design, requirements, and scripts. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain daily AIS compliance with DSS policies and provide analysis and feedback when required for escalated tickets.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimal 5 years of Systems Administrator experience

• Operational experience with Linux/Unix Administration and troubleshooting skills

• Operational experience with Microsoft Windows Administration and troubleshooting skills

• Solaris Zones system Administration experience

• VMware system Administration experience

• Working knowledge of LDAP

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

• Shell scripting experience

• PowerShell scripting experience

• The ideal candidate should have experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of approved software

• Maintain daily AIS compliance with DSS policies

• Backups of Physical servers experience

• Disaster Recovery Experience

• System Maintenance - scheduled upgrades/maintenance, startup and shutdown of rack components

• COTS/developed software skills
