Join us as an Systems Engineer on the
US NAVY Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program.
You will work with a team of engineers in
performing the following duties and functions. You will be responsible for performing a variety
of analyses related to missile systems performance
and functionality using various modeling and
simulation methods. Analysis is focused on use of 6 DOF simulation for performance due to missile design changes.
Maintenance and update of missile
simulation software and supporting data set; writing
or modifying software to support and perform
specific analysis. This would include creating and
maintaining software documentation (user's guides,
model formulation, simulation design, etc.)
Candidate will also be responsible for creating
technical memos, providing input to data packages to
support peer and customer reviews, and presenting
analysis results to internal engineering teams,
customer technical representatives, and Program
Office personnel during technical exchange meetings.
You will also provide support to the missile
simulation’s user base, which includes, not only LM
personnel, but various non-LM FBM contractors.
This will include support for task and manpower forecast as well as strategic planning.
Qualifications include a broad background in aerospace engineering, flight dynamics, and simulation modeling. Experience and knowledge with flight dynamics simulation models and good familiarity with Linux operating system and Fortran are a plus. Candidate should also have demonstrated leadership skills.
This effort includes:
- Perform 6DOF architecture development,
- Modernized simulation modules for future strategic alignment,
- Perform system performance assessments and trade studies using 6DOF simulation,
- Perform pre-flight predictions and post-flight analyses and support flight tests,
- Support the Modeling and Simulation Working Groups as required

*Bachelors degree in engineering, math, physics or
other related discipline.
*Secret Clearance required
*Strong programming experience ( C/C++ or Similar)
*Experience programming in UNIX/LINUX operating
system (O/S) environment
*Knowledge of missile trajectory performance
*Knowledge of missile subsystem inter-dependencies
*Understanding of trajectory modelling and analysis
*Understanding of 3 degree of freedom and 6 degree
of freedom dynamics as they relate to aerospace
*Knowledge of FORTRAN (or
similar) is a plus
*Microsoft Office Proficiency
*FBM program experience is a plus
