Equipment Maintenance Tech

Facilities Equipment Technician II

The Facilities Technician II will provide strong maintenance support in a complex high-tech manufacturing environment to include day-to-day facility operations, complex manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, vendor & contractor management, and EH&S support. This position will work in a fast-paced collaborative environment that is focused on teamwork, integrity, and quality work. In addition, the position will also help oversee and coordinate multiple capital construction projects.

Primary Focus:

  • Accurately troubleshoot and repair failures on complex manufacturing machine systems

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other installed systems

  • Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations

  • Respond to emergencies and support after hours operational needs and activities as required

  • Build partnerships and interact in a positive way with internal team, third-party vendors, services providers, and contactors

  • Control costs and manage operational budget while ensuring most cost-effective methods are being used

  • Research and implement new technology to improve operational efficiency

  • Manage preventive maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities programs using CMMS software

  • Participate in the design and develop of organizational policies relevant to the facilities department

  • Support environmental health and safety initiatives

  • Monitor building utilities for maintenance and cost control

  • Provide physical site security by managing card access, camera systems and outside security personnel

  • Provide strong support to Corporate Facilities and Real Estate team initiatives

  • Successfully follow corporate guidelines and standards while thinking creatively on implementation of processes

  • Maintain compliance to City, County, State and Federal ordinances and codes

  • Maintain a professional, safe and clean work area, including mechanical spaces, electrical rooms, outside areas

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of relevant progressive experience with an emphasis on maintenance operations in a manufacturing setting

  • Knowledge of commercial manufacturing building mechanical system, including domestic water supply and distribution, high and low pressure compressed air, gas distribution, clean rooms and HVAC systems.

  • In depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

  • Handle multiple projects on a fast-paced schedule, while dealing with some vagueness and an ever-changing environment.
