Under direct supervision, operates basic saw types such as pop-up, miter, web saws to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders.
Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made.
Adjusts saw for required cuts.
Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls.
Stacks cut lumber after processing.
Observes safety procedures at all times.
Opera tipos básicos de sierras como por ejemplo sierras desplegables, ingleteadoras, de red para cortar planchas, tablones o placas según las órdenes de trabajo.
- Analizar la orden de trabajo para establecer qué cortes realizar.
- Ajustar la sierra para los cortes requeridos.
- Ajustar la velocidad de la sierra y los rodillos de alimentación.
- Apilar la madera cortada después de procesarla.
- Respetar los procedimientos de seguridad en todo momento.
Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). This is a entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training
o Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust. o Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. o May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.

In addition to the base wage amount below for this position, team members are also eligible to earn a performance based bonus on an annual basis. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on individual performance and annual year-end evaluation, overall company success, and terms and conditions of the Company’s active bonus policy for the respective year.
