SNC Space Systems is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector capable ofperforming inspection duties to insure that incoming parts, in-processproduction and shipped product fulfill all SNC quality requirements. Theseindividuals will need to be highly adaptive and able to respond toever-changing priorities amongst multiple spacecraft and component programs.Experience and understanding of drawing requirements, traceability, andinspection criteria is needed to be successful in this position.The Space Systems business area, based in Louisville, Colorado withoperations in Madison, Wisconsin and Durham, North Carolina, designs andmanufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmentalsystems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government(including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.Learn mPrimary Responsibilities Include:Receiving and Production InspectionInspect and file/record incoming part history recordsAssembly inspections (including materials, parts and subassemblies)which consist of, but are not limited to, workmanship and conformance todrawings and/or process instructions; and ensuring all related paperworkis comPerform assigned inspection functions in accordance with SNC andmanufacturer's inspection procedures to ensure that all incoming and inprocess parts and assemblies are maintained to the prescribed standards ofspace-worthinessPerform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of rawmaterials, components, and sub-assemblies per Inspection Plans, drawingsand other specification requirementsRead and accurately interpret GDandT per ASME Y14.5, specifications and partdrawingsInitiate nonconformance reports (NCs) as requiredPerform product identification and traceability activities, as requiredWork with other company personnel to resolve inspection questionsCommunicate with project engineers to ensure compliance with the final productrequirementsDocument information on the computer in various databases and other internalprogramsParticipates in in-process and final inspection as neededPerform other miscellaneous duties as assignedFollow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
