The future of space transportation isnThe Technician Supervisor is responsible for oversight of a variety of skilledtechnicians on the 2nd Shift tasked with assembly, integration and testingof the Dream Chaser reusable lifting body spaceplane. We are looking for anexperienced aerospace oriented candidate for the day-to-day supervision ofdirect and contract technicians. Exposure to Structural, Avionics,Hydraulics and Propulsion type production flows is a plus.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Must be willing to work 2nd Shift HoursHiring and onboarding of new Technicians as work load demandsPromoting the individual academic and technical competency and growth ofTechnician personnel through both internal and external training opportunitiesWorking to established priorities to maintain production schedules & supportprogram milestones / delivery requirementsResponsible for driving organization, efficiency and cleanliness of theproduction floor.Prepares weekly reports providing status to Production Operations management.Reviewing and ensuring that all documentation is the current releasedrevision; conduct audits on a regular basis to check documentation revisionsagainst current working proceduresMaintaining policies, procedures and work instructions affecting theefficiency of the departmentApplying continuous process improvement principles to improve cycle-time,throughput and overall efficiency in the production and testing areasPreparation of Resource Planning to support demands and minimize costsDevelopment of performance measurement metrics to track performance in allproduction areasPreparation and status of annual objectives supporting company objectivesADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Supervisory role inspiring interactive team relationships within theproduction area and other departmentsPunctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hoursOther duties as assignedCOMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, andCompliance regulations (internal and external)Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such asTime Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews,Succession Planning, etc.Responsible for leadership oversight and for ensuring Department/Team trainingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work on your knees, and bend, crouch,and reach over your headMinimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, asdefined by managementSNC job descriptions are meant as summarizations only.
